About the Event: The annual Circle of Light ceremony is to remember loved ones who have passed. The event takes place at dusk at the J.C. Nichols Fountain on the Country Club Plaza.
In this shift, Serve KC volunteers will load the luminary bags with sand and insert candles. We will then place them around the fountain in an order which makes it easy for families to locate the luminary bearing the name of a loved one.
Please dress comfortably for this event and remember sun screen and hats.
If you have a portable wagon, please bring it to help move the sand around the area.
Free parking is available in a number of nearby garages and sometimes on the street next to the event.
***WEATHER ALERT *** Before heading out the door to go to the Plaza, if it is looking like we might get rained out, feel free to call me at 913-461-5477. If it’s just a few sprinkles, Hospice may go ahead and have the event if it looks like it may clear up. I will also post to this site if it is cancelled.
