Heartland Habitat ReStore accepts donations of new and gently used construction materials, furniture, fixtures, appliances and more. Proceeds help to further Heartland Habitat’s efforts to build simple, decent, affordable homes and communities for people in need. Heartland Habitat’s ReStore in Johnson County is made possible through Humana Kansas City Benefits and other generous donors.
Volunteers will help sort donations, stock inventory, and help with basic cleanup. When you give your time at ReStore you might be sorting trim or tile, measuring blinds, color tabbing paint or an assortment of other tasks. Come ready to get your hands dirty and clothes too.
• Bring work gloves & a water bottle.
• Check in at front desk. Once everyone has arrived, there will be a quick orientation and time to fill out Heartland Habitat’s waiver.
• Look for- Dakota, he is the Serve KC host for this event.
• Arrive promptly. We’ll work for 4 hours starting at 10:00am and work until 2:00pm.
