Help set up for Kansas City’s only official PGA tour – The Digital Ally Open

The Digital Ally Open is a professional golf tournament that is part of the PGA TOUR’s Web.com Tour. 2017 will mark the 7th year the KC Crusaders will run the tournament and will feature a field of 156 players

The tournament will be held on July 24th – July 30th at the Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate in Overland Park, Kansas City. The net proceeds from the Digital Ally Open are donated to 4 primary beneficiaries: S.A.F.E. (Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund), C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors), National Fallen Firefighters Association, and Children’s Mercy Hospital.

ServeKC volunteers will help with set-up on Saturday July 22nd. Volunteers will split into groups of 2 or 3 to hang signage at the entrance of the club house, in the club house and on the golf course. (This may require minor heavy lifting, moving ground stakes or poles and using a ladder.)

Attire: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you can stand in for several hours. We will be outside so dress for the weather, bring a light jacket, sweatshirt or rain gear if necessary along with sunscreen and a hat.  This event will go on rain or shine, as long as it is safe. .  

AGE REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 13  years old to volunteer, be able to follow directions in order to complete physical tasks and  attend with an adult.  

**Please leave all valuables and personal belongings locked in your car, there is nowhere to leave them during the event. Please allow time for parking, checking-in, and getting to your designated area before your shift begins. 

 Waitlist: If an event is full volunteers can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you are automatically added to the attending list in the order you joined the waitlist. Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you make other plans so the next available person can join in the event of a last minute cancellation.
