Pet Food Sort and Prep // Spay & Neuter KC

Join us at the Spay & Neuter KC food storage facility to prepare pet food for local pet owners and rescues. Heavy lifting is required (up to 40lbs) and tasks may be labor-intensive.

SNKC receives large pallets donations of dog and cat food that volunteers need to sort, inspected, and check expiration dates. Anyone unable to lift bags can help with sweeping, label making and taping damaged bags. Pallet jack experience is a plus!

We only have space for 6 volunteers, so please be firm with your RSVP.

Closed-toe shoes are required, wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Please leave valuables and purses in your car unless you are able to carry them with you. The facility is climate-controlled and there are water fountains and restrooms onsite.

Age Requirement: 16+

Volunteers will need to sign a liability waiver at the start of the event in order to participate.
