We will be picking up trash and debris from Swope Park. Kids are welcome to attend with an adult. 

Please plan to be at the Shelter around 945am to sign in. This is a multiple location/multiple group event with the Make A Wish Foundation. 

Please wear gloves and comfortable shoes. Bags will be provided for the litter.

Amelia’s Wish…

There are two things Amelia really cares about, people and our planet. When Amelia was recovering from brain surgery she would take regular walks with her grandmother. It upset her seeing trash along their walks and made it her mission to pick up the trash in our neighborhood. Because Amelia’s tumor was found to be cancerous she qualified to be a wish kid with Make-A-Wish and her wish is to Take Care of the World for a Day.

Amelia’s wish is coming true on 2/27 and I would LOVE your help in making it happen! Her wish will be taking place at 4 different locations in Kansas City with the celebration/presentations being held at Swope Park. Amelia will be visiting each location and seeing people sharing her love for the planet. Thank you so much for helping Amelia’s wish come true! This is a kid who rarely asks for anything and throughout this experience this is the only thing she has asked for, this is her wish!
