Powell Gardens ( https://powellgardens.org/ ) Glow: A Jack-O-Lantern Festival is approaching and they need 750 pumpkins carved in total for the festival.
The event is a highly anticipated fall festival featuring hundreds of carved pumpkins and a variety of family-friendly activities! Walk a nearly mile-long pathway lit by light displays, jack-o-lanterns and fantastic pumpkin sculptures. Enjoy stops along the way including children’s activities, hayrides, a fire-pit, hospitality stations with wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages, food vendors and a demo and display tent featuring master pumpkin carver Rudy Garcia and his fantastic creations.
The volunteer carving will be held downstairs and water and snacks will be provided in the hallway and/or the volunteer lounge.
Age: Children 16+ are welcome to assist at this event with a parent or guardian.
Attire: Clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty as you will be carving pumpkins and comfortable shoes.
Parking: When entering Powell Gardens there is a ticket booth that will probably not be manned, but if so let the cashier know you are a volunteer and you will be let in without having to pay for parking.
Valuables: Please leave them in your vehicle as there is no where to secure them. The volunteer lounge is not monitored.
Any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at 660-441-5338 or ammo.toto@gmail.com
Waitlist: If the event is full, volunteers can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you are automatically added to the attending list in the order you joined the waitlist. Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you make plans so the next available person can join the event in case of a last minute cancellation.
I look forward to volunteering with you!
