Come join us in assisting the DIFFA KC (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) at their new event called DIFFA Showcase. This is a silent auction and cocktail party to raise money so DIFFA KC can give grants to local KC programs which provide HIV/AIDS Education. .  

Serve KC volunteers will monitor the silent auction tables, answer questions, encourage people to bid on items and interact with guests.( Items in the silent auction are one-of-a=kind locally designed objects – fine art, fashion, food and furniture.)

***Attire – please dress in all black, either business casual or cocktail (slacks, skirt/dress and a nice top) and comfortable shoes as we will be standing the entire event.  I recommend leaving purses and valuables locked in your car as there is no place to leave them securely.

 ***Parking – As the event is downtown, there is street parking or parking in the garage under Barney Allis. (Volunteers will be offered discounted parking for self=parking at Barney Allis.) There is metered street parking that is free after 6pm. In addition, there are several spots that do not have meters and are free. These will often say 2-hour or 4-hour parking, but that limit goes until 6pm at which time there is a time limit.  

***Volunteers will have the opportunity to take a 15-min break, however at no time can the silent auction table be completely unattended. There will be passed appetizers at the event, volunteers can enjoy those during their break.  

DIFFA KC (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) founded in 1988, DIFFA KC brings together volunteers from the local design community representing the fields of interior design, graphic communications, architecture, fashion and more to raise funds to support the prevention of HIV/AIDS in our community.  The mission is to support the prevention of HIV and AIDS by funding education and awareness programs in Greater Kansas City. They seek to arrest the spread of HIV in the community.
