NOTICE: you must register on Harvester site to attend: http://cerv.is/m?0015rServeKC, instructions below, and register on the MeetUp site.
Harvesters has made changes in their registration process. This allows Harvesters to contact you directly in the case of closure due to weather and you will receive a reminder directly from Harvesters a few days before the event. It is important you honor your RSVP because we allowed 18 slots and only 18 people are able to register for an event. In the event you are unable to volunteer, change your RSVP.
To access your account, you can click on the link below and hit the “Login” button. Your temporary password is “Volunteer1”. When you login the first time, it will have you update your password. Please register yourself for each of the volunteer dates you are planning on attending.
Please follow the steps below to register yourself for this volunteer shift. You will just need to provide contact information to get scheduled. Once you have created a record, you can login into their account to add future dates or cancel reservation if something comes up. You can register up until 72 hours before the start of your volunteer shift. You have issues registering and need assistance, contact Volunteer Services at 816-929-3090 or volunteer@harvesters.org for assistance.

This is a great way to give back to the community as Harvesters is the area’s only food bank. Their network includes over 620 nonprofit agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes, etc. http://harvesters.org
Space has been reserved for us from 6 to 8 PM at their warehouse location at 3801 Topping Avenue.
We will be working in a warehouse so please dress casual for this event and no open-toed shoes are allowed inside. Also be sure to bring some water, you’ll need it. This can be vigorous work but it is also a very casual atmosphere centered on teamwork.
Please check in at the front desk, then join us in the volunteer lounge. There will be someone on staff at the facility to show/instruct us on what they need done for that day.
Children ages 12 and older are welcome to attend provided they are accompanied by an adult. Harvesters can also accommodate volunteers with special needs if we let them know in advance.
Please share this opportunity with your family, friends, and coworkers! You are allowed to bring up to 5 guests and we can usually arrange for bigger groups if needed.
Harvesters will always accept any food donations too so bring them with you when you come. Thanks for considering this opportunity to Serve Kansas City!
** Please be firm with your commitment when you RSVP. The agencies plan our work based upon the number of people we tell them we have going. If your plans change we understand, just please change your RSVP. **
