Help in the Uplift Garden

Each time you come to the Uplift garden please bring garden gloves and your own water to drink. As the garden grows, the jobs we will be doing will change. Duties may include weeding, picking vegetables, and other duties to keep the garden flourishing.

Ages 12 and up are welcome.

*******************************

Uplift (http://www.uplift.org/)is a homeless outreach program run entirely by volunteers since 1990. They deliver meals three times a week to approximately 300 people along with clothing and other necessities.

At the garden in Belton, ServeKC volunteers help maintain the garden which produces beautiful vegetables.  These vegetables are sold right there at the garden and 100% of the proceeds go to Uplift.

To learn more about delivering or preparing meals for Uplift visit their website (http://www.uplift.org/volunteer/).

Directions: Take US-71 S / I-49 S to the Belton/Raymore MO-58 E highway exit. Go east on MO-58 to Kentucky Rd., then take a left to head North. You’ll pass a red barn and the garden is on your right. Please do not park in the driveway(s)s of the next door home(s). Feel free to park on the street in front of the garden or grass areas next to the garden.
