Thursday morning, 80 inner-city kids with KU Gear Up came to our trail, walked it, scaled the slope, and examined poison ivy, spiders and snakes. Many heard for the first time that you can heal bites and take away pain with Plantain leaf pulp. Then they grabbed shovels and took out Bush Honeysuckle by the roots!
Now we need help to get all of the lightweight bushes throughout the trail areas onto a flatbed trailer to take over to MO Organic Recycling.
Please wear closed-toe outdoors-appropriate shoes. We provide work gloves & any necessary tools. We’ll also have ice-cold water for you.
Come enjoy a naturespace-in-transformation from dumping ground to sanctuary retreat. Thank you so much for your caring help!
