The Urban Farming Guys have made Kansas City’s inner city their home. Located in the middle of a food desert this nonprofit is a testing ground for sustainable communities in areas where affordable and nutritious food is hard to come by. Volunteers have done everything from building community gardens to construction, painting and renovations on the Makerspace. 

THIS WEEK’S PROJECT: Put covering on greenhouse

Please join us at 9 a.m. for prep or 10 a.m. will need all hands on deck to put up the plastic covering.

Please bring gloves, a water bottle & dress in comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.

We will meet at the Makerspace building, 3700 E. 12th on the corner of 12th & Monroe in KCMO. If you have trouble finding us or arrive late call Candy Fields at 913-220-1370.
