LEGO sort & donation drive — #LoveLonger 96.5 The Buzz

The Giving Brick collects used LEGO bricks and gives them to underprivileged kids. How cool is that?  Donations are collected, cleaned and sorted to create new ‘peer worthy’ sets. Serve KC volunteers are invited to come help sort LEGOs that will eventually be put into sets and given to children with CASA of Jackson County.

Donate used LEGO, please do not buy new sets or off-brand. Check out their FAQ page for more information about donating.

#LoveLonger Project: This event is our December with 96.5 The Buzz listeners. Each month Serve KC highlights a different volunteer opportunity for the #BuzzFamily to join us and make a positive impact in our community.

This is a Kid-Friendly event as well as a kid-at-heart friendly event. We want to be productive & positive so please explain the purpose of this event to your child and feel free to cut-out early if attention spans aren’t able to sort for the full two hours. LEGO play breaks are allowed.

Instructions will be given as to how the LEGOs need to be sorted by Matthew Gould from The Giving Brick & his crew. No prior LEGO experience required, but LEGO appreciation is a plus. If you have trouble seeing small objects you may also want to bring your reading glasses or a magnifying glass.

Waitlist: If an event is full volunteers can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you are automatically added to the attending list in the order you joined the waitlist. Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you make other plans so the next available person can join in the event of a last minute cancellation.
