Packet Pick Up for the Hospital Hill Run

2017 will be the 44th running of one of the most storied races in Missouri history. What started as a single 6.8-mile race with 99 runners has evolved into a world-class event that hosts thousands of runners completing 3 different distances.

Hospital Hill Run has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities. Special Olympics of Metro KC was the first official charity partner in 1996. A partnership program, allowing multiple charities to use the race as their own fundraiser, started in 2008. Over the years, more and more charities have used the event to raise awareness and money.

Volunteers have always been the backbone of the Hospital Hill Run. Each year, more than 1,000 volunteers join the Hospital Hill Run Race Crew to help make Kansas City’s oldest running event a huge success!

Serve KC volunteers will assist with Packet Pickup. This is the first stop for runners as they prepare to run! Duties include organizing/handing out pajama pants, bib number, greeting participants with smiles, and answering questions/providing race information. (Note: All Serve KC volunteers will be asked to sign a sign a waiver upon their arrival.)

Packet Pickup has the added bonus of taking place during the Health and Fitness Expo with more than 60 exhibitors who showcase the latest in running, fitness, health and nutrition. Serve KC volunteers are welcomed to stay after their shift and check out the exhibitors at the Expo.

Volunteer Perks: In addition to thousands of heartfelt thank you’s, volunteers will receive a volunteer crew t-shirt, refreshments, and 3-hours of Free Parking.

Attire: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you can stand in for several hours.

AGE REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 13 years old to volunteer and attend with an adult.

**Please leave all valuables and personal belongings locked in your car, there is nowhere to leave them during the event. Please allow time for parking, checking-in, and getting to your designated area before your shift begins.
