Heart to Heart International provides medical aid on a global scale, but their distribution center is right here in Kansas City and they need volunteers to ensure aid is shipped to people in crisis all of the world.
We’ll start with a brief tour of the Global Distribution Center and discuss the history and current activities of the organization. Typical volunteer projects include preparing hygiene kits, sorting donations or preparing items for shipment. Some physical activity will be required, but sit down jobs are available. Just let the volunteer coordinator at Heart to Heart know when you arrive if that is required.
REQUIREMENTS: Please wear comfortable closed toe shoes and clothing appropriate for warehouse work. In winter months layers are advisable. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer independently. Youth are encouraged to volunteer, but require parental supervision.
DIRECTIONS: Most GPS units have not caught up with construction in this area so you may want to click here for Directions to Heart to Heart to ensure you don’t get stuck in the SunFresh parking lot.
