We need artists & crafty people to help paint several hundred pumpkins for the 10th Anniversary Pumpkin Palooza. Not creative? We can still use your help prepping pumpkins with basecoat or making ribbon toppers for each pumpkin. These hand-painted & decorated pumpkins will be sold during this annual fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting the Sunflower House.
Check out or Pinterest Board for pumpkin decorating inspiration or take a look at last years pumpkins.
Supplies: Sunflower House will provide the pumpkins, painting tables, paints and decoration items. If you have a theme in mind you may want to bring your own supplies or we have a few suggestions: hot glue gun, jewels, stickers, metallic markers, foam sheets, chalkboard paint, or any props to complete your pumpkin theme. Pumpkins cannot be carved, pierced or punctured in any way.
Snacks: Blingin pumpkins can be some exhausting work so you may want to bring snacks or drinks to help keep the creative juices flowing. Also, because this is a Friday night we will meetup after the painting at Johnny’s Tavern on Shawnee Mission Pkwy for those interested.
Age Requirement: Children 8 years old and older are welcomed and must be accompanied by an adult.
Sunflower House is a non-profit that was founded in 1977. It is a non-residential children’s advocacy and abuse prevention center serving Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
