Scraps KC – Sort, Clean and Repurpose back-to-school supplies

Scraps KC(https://scrapskc.org/) was founded in 2016 to provide work opportunities for the Kansas City metro area homeless The mission of Scraps KC is to inspire creativity and ingenuity that positively impacts the environment, enhances creativity in art and education and provides hope for the homeless.

This year there are 28 schools that will be donating gently used school supplies. Serve KC volunteers along with other community volunteers will
sort, clean and repurpose the supplies for the upcoming school year. All of the supplies will be given away to teachers for FREE to support their classrooms.

Volunteers are asked to bring their own water bottle and dress modestly. (no short shorts, tank tops, etc) ALL JOBS ARE SIT DOWN.

**Age Requirements: This is a family-friendly event as children as young as 3 may volunteer!

**Leave all valuables and personal belongings locked in the trunk of your car as there is no secure place to leave them during the event.

**Waitlist: If an event is full volunteers can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you are automatically added to the attending list in the order you joined the waitlist. Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you make other plans so the next available person can join in the event of a last minute cancellation.
