Serve a nutritious breakfast to St Paul’s guests

Please read the entire post as there are multiple duties to choose from. ***This is in Kansas City, Kansas, easily accessible from I-635 OR 18th Street Expressway.

Join us as we serve breakfast to the homeless and impoverished at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in KCK. Episcopal Community Services (http://episcopalcommunity.org) works with the 1.2.3.4.5. Fit-Tastic program to offer a meal that is nutritious and talk about healthy choices that can help guests deal with issues like high blood pressure and diabetes. This is an interactive event with the guests.

8:30am – 9:30am – Dining room set up
9:30 – 10:30am (ish) – Breakfast serving / clearing tables
10:30 – 11:30am – Clean-up. Please plan to stay and help clean up!

***Attire – Please wear modest clothing and comfortable, closed-toed shoes. Leave all purses and valuables in your car, there is no secure area to store them. Bring a water bottle if you would like, coffee, juice and water is available on the beverage station.

***Minimum age to volunteer is 12 and must be accompanied by an adult.

***Prior to starting breakfast service, there is a prayer led by a church elder. You are welcome to go into the foyer or kitchen if you prefer to not participate.

***Location – Google maps will tell you to drive PAST the church then turn left. Please turn left the block before the church and park along the street. Walk through the alley along the back of the church to the first break and there is a red door immediately to your right that is unlocked (if you are at a LOCKED red door, turn around, you walked too far). Walk through that door and up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, sign in and make a name badge, then proceed into the dining room to meet the group.
