Serve Guests at My Father’s House

• What we’ll do
My Father’s House Furnishings Ministry helps guests select donated furniture and household items as guests prepare to move into a new home. We serve veterans transitioning out of homelessness, domestic abuse survivors, kids aging out of foster care, and families affected by fire or natural disaster, among others.

Available activities may include:
Sorting and shelving donations
Help guests “shop” for their items
Packing selected items
Moving and loading furniture
Tearing down unusable items for recycling
Electronics recycling

Volunteer parking is in a large lot across the railroad tracks.

• What to bring
Bottled water or other drink (as needed). IF you bring a purse or other similar item there are lockers available but you need to bring your own lock. Hats, gloves, and warm clothing is needed in colder weather.
