Desperate need of volunteers to serve at Childrens Fall Festival

This is a rain or shine event. There is an indoor space in case of rain..Please let admissions know you are volunteering through Hillcrest Platte County. Several KC area charities area joining together to host the 4th annual CITY SLICKER HOEDOWN fall festival for children. The hoedown is an all inclusive event for underprivileged, special needs and foster children within the Kansas City area.

Volunteers desperately needed to supervise children’s games, help with childrens activities, tear down and clean up at event closing. We need volunteers of high school age and up to make sure the children, their families and their foster families have an amazing day! Drinks and lunch will be provided to volunteers.
It will be a fun family day of Music, food, crafts, shows, a petting zoo, and magic show for foster, special needs and underprivileged children in Kansas City
The hoedown runs from noon to 4pm. Event cleanup is from 4-5pm.
You may arrive at whatever time you wish and volunteer as many hours as you would like. But there is a shortage of volunteers from 2pm to 5pm. Please let the event organizer know your approximate arrival time and how many hours you are able to volunteer. Once you arrive please check in at the Hillcrest Platte County table for volunteers assignment.
Please wear” western wear “or a plain red t-shirt if you have one with a jeans and comfortable outdoor shoes. A jacket or long sleeve plaid shirt is recommended because it can be windy on the farm. This is an outdoor event.. It will be open to the public but the guests of honor will be our VIP children.
