We are proud to present the 1st Serve KC Kindness Scavenger Hunt; a fun way to exemplify service by performing acts of kindness in our community. Teams will have 2 hours to perform as many good deeds in downtown Kansas City using the Streetcar to spread kindness from Union Station to City Market. Our hunt will start at Anton’s Taproom (right on the streetcar route), where participants will check-in, get the list of kind acts and return for the chance to win prizes.
This event will coincide with our 6th anniversary celebration
How to Play: Participants will form teams of 4-6 people, assemble your squad or we can pair you upon arrival, and work together to fulfill as many random acts of kindness possible. Teams will need a camera phone to photograph each task completed or item obtained. Each team member must appear in at least one of the photos. Bonus points can be earned by posting to social media (facebook, twitter & instagram) during the scavenger hunt. Players must return to Anton’s by 4pm, points will be counted and the top teams will be awarded prizes.
Schedule: Check-in is from 1-1:50 pm in the upstairs room at Anton’s. At 1:50 we will go over the rules, then the hunt will begin at 2 pm. All teams will need to be back to Anton’s by 4pm to be eligible for prizes. Winners will be announced at 4:30pm.
Location: Our start & finish point is Anton’s Taproom Restaurant, which is right along the KC Streetcar line. We encourage teams to use the FREE Streetcar to travel around and perform kind acts.
NO ELEVATOR access, only stairs to our upstairs meeting room.
Examples: Buying someone’s coffee, picking up trash, give a candy bar to a security guard… These may or may not be on the list.
Open to all ages – Family Friendly event!
Earn Extra Points: Participants can earn points before the hunt begins. You can bring items to donate to any or all of our featured 6 nonprofits listed below. We also offer additional points for anyone who posts photos performing an act of kindness with the hashtag #ServeKCKindness or by tagging our Facebook page in your public posts.
