Social For A Cause — Operation Breakthrough!

We love social get-togethers and donation drives! What a great way to welcome Operation Breakthrough to the Serve KC family by donating needed items and meeting fellow volunteers!

Needed items include feminine hygiene products, laundry soap & cleaning supplies, but you can bring any of the items from their donation list

Please share this with friends and family.  Bring them! Everyone is invited! Stagecoach is in a strip mall next to the main Johnson County Library.  They serve good food, and they have great food specials and nice happy hours.

Operation Breakthrough is a not-for-profit corporation providing a nurturing and safe environment for children of the working poor that began in 1971 by Sister Corita Bussanmas and Sister Berta Sailer. The organization responded to the need for quality child care and provided a nurturing and safe environment for children in poverty. Operation Breakthrough has grown and expanded over the years but the vision has been for all children to have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

The mission of Operation Breakthrough is to provide a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and to empower their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education.

Operation Breakthrough operates a food pantry for their families. Federal regulations prohibit using food stamps, a primary source of income for some of their families, on hygiene products. Serve KC will be collecting feminine hygiene items, laundry soap and cleaning supplies (such as dish soap, disinfecting wipes, sponges, etc.)

Thank you for what you do and hope to see you there!!
