The Giving Brick LEGO sorting

The Giving Brick collects used LEGO bricks and give them to underprivileged kids.  How cool is that?  Donations are taken in, cleaned and then sorted. That’s where we come in. Serve KC volunteers are invited to come help sort LEGOS that will eventually be put into sets and given to children with CASA of Jackson county.

NOTE: At this event we’ll be doing a detailed sort for missing pieces for sets the Giving Brick wants to gift this holiday season. Patience and determination are needed for this task. All ages are welcome, but suggest kids old enough to help.

We’ll meet in the Community Room of Ronald McDonald’s Longfellow House, which is the large green building on the west side of Cherry Street. There are 3 Ronald McDonald Houses on Cherry street so please be sure to arrive at the right one, Longfellow is the only one on the West side of the street and green.

DONATE: The Giving Brick accepts donations of USED LEGOs. Please don’t buy new sets. They accept old LEGO bricks, clean them and make awesome new sets for kids in need. Sets don’t need to be complete, but must be LEGO brand.

If you are unable to attend, but have LEGOs to donate you can find a list of local toy stores Drop-off Locations.
