Carve Turkeys for Salvation Army Christmas Dinner

Back by popular Demand – Turkey Carving for Salvation Army Christmas Meal

We will assist other Salvation Army volunteers in carving 150 turkeys in preparation for their Christmas meal.  Please bring a large knife, ensure that it is transferred safely having it in a knife guard or wrapped in a kitchen towel.  You may also want to bring a cutting board as none are provided.  Aprons, hair nets and gloves will be provided.  Wear clothes that can get messy and comfortable shoes to be standing in.  Shoes must be closed toed, no sandals or flip flops.

Don’t know how to carve a turkey, that’s OK, this is more about getting the meat off the turkeys than about making it pretty.

Kids – must be 16 or older and comfortable using a knife for carving turkeys.  No younger children will be allowed.
