Volunteer to help Spay & Neuter KC with their 8th Annual SPAY-ghetti and No Balls Gala! This is their largest fundraiser of the year. The theme is The Great Gatsby and the roaring 20’s. Costumes are encouraged but not required (flapper, silent screen star, gangster, etc). Required attire is business casual, prefer dark pants (no jeans, no tshirts, no tennis shoes, etc).
Volunteers will be handling a variety of duties, including set up, event check in and check out, silent auction, auction runners. Volunteers will also need to man the Wine Pull Raffle, Silent Auction Tables, and Prop Table.
Event Schedule:
5:00 pm: Setup and VIP Event Check-In begins
5:00 pm – 6:30 pm: VIP Cocktail Hour
6:00 pm: Event Open – Silent Auction, Wine Pull Raffle, Prop Table and Photo Booth Open
7:30 pm: Silent Auction and Wine Pull Raffle Closes; Silent Auction Win Reports to be distributed to attendees
7:30 pm – 8:00 pm: Dinner Service
8:00 pm: Desert Service Opens
8:00 pm: Live Auction Begins
9:00 pm – 11:00 pm: Event Check-Out
11:00 pm: Event Close
Event Check-In:
There are no physical tickets for this event. We will be using CAS (Computer Auction System) for check-in and auctions. CAS will have staff on-site to train and assist. At Check-In, we will look up the name of the reservation in the computer. If there is no reservation made we will be collecting admission money. Attendees will receive printed name tags and an event program with a bid number printed on the back for the live auction. Attendees should be offered Raffle Tickets upon Check-In, and directed to the Silent Auction Tables. Be sure to thank them for coming and tell them to enjoy their evening.
Close of Silent Auction:
At the close of the Silent Auction at 7:30 pm, CAS will print out a report of Silent Auction winners. These reports will need to be distributed to the attendees’ tables.
Dessert Service:
Volunteers will need to cut and plate sheet cake for dessert service starting promptly at 7:30 pm. — Jill Sigler
Live Auction:
Volunteers will be needed during the Live Auction as runners
Event Check-Out:
At Event Check-Out, attendees can collect their auction prizes from the Check-In/Check-Out stations. Money for prizes/auction items won will be collected at this time.
Dress Code: This is a Roaring 20’s themed fundraiser. Costumes are strongly encouraged but not required. Volunteers should either dress appropriately in theme or in business or formal wear. No t-shirts or jeans. Nice attire required.
Parking: Please park in the garage located between 11th and 12th Street. It is $2 Parking. Parking will be reimbursed. Recommend carpool if you can.
Meals: Volunteers will receive a complimentary dinner.
