Kansas City Chinese Association New Year & Lantern Festival Celebration Gala

The Kansas City Chinese Association (KCCA), is a local non-profit organization that promotes Chinese culture and education through socialization, cultural exchange and festival events. The vision of the association is to join hands with the Chinese people and the American friends who love traditional Chinese culture to create a Chinese cultural center centered on culture and education.

The KCCA 2016 Chinese New Year Gala had more than 500 guests that included local Chinese families, American friends, including Chinese and American politicians and business. They all gathered, singing and laughing, to celebrate the holiday with lively lanterns, red lanterns, banners and scrolls, filled with festive atmosphere.

The 2017 KCCA Chinese New Year Celebration Spring Lantern Festival event is from 3pm to 9pm. The Event Schedule is as follows:

3:00 pm – 6: 00 pm  Cultural Showcase & Entertainment

4:30 pm – 6:30 pm  Dinner

7:00 pm – 9: 00 pm  Stage Performance

Serve KC Volunteers have been asked to help with this years celebration gala with set up and decorations. All volunteers will be provided with meals and tickets to show performance at 7pm. Please let Ian know in advance if you would like to attend the show.

Waitlist: If an event is full volunteers can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you are automatically added to the attending list in the order you joined the waitlist. Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you make other plans so the next available person can join in the event of a last minute cancellation.
