Plant Garden to Feed Homeless

Uplift is a local homeless outreach program run entirely by volunteers since 1990. They deliver meals three times a week to approximately 60 people along with clothing and other necessities.

Serve KC volunteers have been asked to help plant a garden that will help feed those in need. We’ll be putting paper and hay down on each row and then cages around the plants. Please bring garden gloves and dress for hot temperatures. We recommend bringing a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and big spray.

Age Requirement: 10+ welcome with adult supervision

Directions: Take 71 S / 49 S to the Belton/Raymore 58 highway exit. Go east on 58 to Kentucky, then take a left to head North. You’ll pass a red barn and the garden is on your right.

Day of Event Contact: Selena, (816) 582-7857

DONATIONS — Summer Urgent Needs: Clean 2 liter or larger bottles (no milk containers) white crew socks, tennis shoes, insect repellent, t-shirts, baseball caps, sun screen.
