The Johnson County Christmas Bureau is a non-profit agency created to provide the county’s low-income families with groceries, clothes, toys, hats, gloves, adult and teen gifts, books and personal care items for the holidays. In 2014 the Johnson County Christmas Bureau served almost 14,000 low-income Johnson County residents of which, 86% were women and children, 7,740 were below the age of 18 and 5,099 were ten years old or younger. The Christmas Bureau serves those who live in Johnson County, Kansas and have incomes below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level, which is approximately $35,000.00 for a family of four. ServeKC volunteers will assist department chair with unpacking boxes, sorting merchandise and/or stocking shelves. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Leave valuables at home or in your car. We recommend that you bring bottle water.
